The 4-sided egg-beater design allows you to clip in easily at any angle and release consistently, no matter what the terrain.  Because it is an open cage system, mud falls right through the pedals.  It’s minimalist design makes this pedal system very light, yet very durable and fully serviceable.

The Candy is an egg-beater with a small platform around it to give a little more surface area for your shoe to contact before clipping in.  The Candy 3, pictured to the left, has a chromoly spindle and machined aluminum body with inner needle bearings and outer sealed cartridge bearings and is fully serviceable.  Prices range from $60 up to $120.
