Fitness Equipment Service Technician

Full-time position available

Summary – Fc Service Technician is responsible for properly diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining all brands of fitness equipment in residential and commercial applications. Fc Service Technician is also responsible for delivery and installation of all products that we sell. The service tech is the face of Fitness Central out on the road and in people’s homes so friendliness, courtesy and professionalism are paramount.

Position Details:
-Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair broken fitness equipment
-Deliver and assemble new equipment
-Disassemble and move used equipment
-Maintain floor models in the retail store
-Sell equipment to commercial facilities
-Responsible for upkeep of tools, service parts and service truck
-Promote Fitness Central

Job qualifications:
-Prior fitness repair experience preferred, but not required
-Clean driving record
-Excellent communication skills, must be comfortable interacting and selling to customers in their home
-Excellent organizational skills for worktickets, tools and service parts
-Ability to lift 100lbs
-Flexibility in schedule, some work days go past 5pm
-Desire to get the job done RIGHT

Retail Salesperson

Full-Time Position Available

Summary – Fc Retail Salesperson is responsible for engaging customers and clearly demonstrating and explaining the products that we sell.

Position Details:
-Clearly explain and demonstrate products to customers
-Demonstrate competence in the sales process, from engaging customer to closing a sale
-Continue to learn about new fitness and bicycle products
-Provide the highest level of customer service – exceed customer expectations!
-Promote Fitness Central in the store and outside of it
-Assist in unloading deliveries
-Maintain appearance of the store through merchandising and organizing
-Assemble floor models

Job Qualifications:
-Prior retail sales experience a must, prior fitness or bicycle retail experience preferred
-Strong work ethic with ability to work without supervision
-Clean appearance
-Excellent communication skills, must be able to engage and interact with customers
-Ability to listen and address the needs of each customer
-Ability to multi-task
-Basic knowledge of computers

Bicycle Mechanic

Full-time position available
Part-time seasonal position available

Summary – Fc Bicycle Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining all bicycles that enter our service department.  The mechanic is also responsible for  new bike assembly.

Position Details:

-Thoroughly diagnose service bikes and accurately estimate repairs
-Efficiently perform service on all bicycles including, but not limited to: Tune-ups, shift adjust, brake adjust, lubrication, wheel truing, bearing overhauls, hydraulic brake bleeds, safety checks, accessory install
-Clearly communicate with customers and write accurate service quotes
-Place customer experience above all else
-Continue to stay up to date on new components and service techniques
-Build new bicycles
-Maintain stock bikes
-Keep shop area clean
-Assist on the sales floor and answering phone when needed

Job Qualifications:

-1 year prior professional bicycle repair experience
-Clean appearance
-Excellent communication skills
-Ability to diagnose bike repairs and communicate that to the customer
-Love of cycling a plus
-Ability to multi-task
-Basic knowledge of computers
